2018 Lobo Wines Howl Red Blend, Napa Valley, Wulff Vineyards

$70.00

Tasting Notes: The 2018 vintage of Howl greets the nose with damson plum, boysenberry, mulberry and blueberry skins with hints of clove and warm baking spices. Intense ruby in the glass, it has exuberant fruit that explodes on to the palate. The dark fruit aromas are all realized in flavor along with suggestions of dried violets and lavender, toasted vanilla bean, dark cocoa shavings and a faint whiff of black olive. The tannins are supple and integrated with balanced acidity. 91 Points/2 Stars, Connoisseurs’ Guide: “… An intriguing wine, this blend of Syrah with Bordelaise varieties focuses first and foremost on spices, dried figs and blackberries and it is only on closer inspection that one finds glints of currants and herb in the background of its still developing aromas …” Final Blend: 67% Syrah, 28% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot Case Production: Only 263 cases produced Hold Time: Enjoy now or hold up to 7 years Alcohol by Volume: 14.5% Cheers to another unique wine club find!
