Founded in 1731 in Beaune by Michel Bouchard, Bouchard Père & Fils, is one of the oldest wine estates in Burgundy, perpetuating tradition for nearly 3 centuries and 9 generations.Corton is the only red Grand Cru on the Côte de Beaune and the only Grand Cru on the Côte d’Or to be divided into “sous-climats”. “Le Corton” is the historic vineyard which gave the name to the Corton appellation. 100% Pinot Noir grapes sourced from the Bouchard Domaine’s 8.4 acres of vines in the Le Corton are hand harvested and manually sorted. Following total or partial destemming, fermentation is in small containers. Maceration lasts 18 to 21 days and the wine aged 12 to 14 months in French oak, with 40 to 50% new oak.
