Description
Tasting Notes: This wine is showing off right now and is a testament to what we knew back then – that the harvest of 2014 was truly a gift from Mother Nature. It has aromas of bright plums mingled with brambleberries and dark cherries, and notes of cedar and sage. The full-bodied tannins we noted upon bottling are starting to smooth out, which shows off the intense, upfront fruit and spice flavors. The finish is clean and smooth. 95 Points/Wine of the Year, Wine & Spirits 93 Points, James Suckling 90 Points, Jeb Dunnuck Final Blend: 93% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc Case Production: Only 506 cases produced Pair With: Grilled skirt steak with bright salsa verde, or coffee-crusted rib-eye steak with a cayenne/blackberry sauce Hold Time: Enjoy now or hold up to 15 years (if enjoying now, decant for one hour) Alcohol by Volume: 14.8% Wine club members might be familiar with this selection as we’ve featured past vintages as well.
