Hubert de Bouard, whose family dates back to the 1500’s in Bordeaux can be credited with lifting the quality of the wines to their current height. The 94 acre vineyard is planted to 50% Merlot, 47% Cabernet Franc and 3% Cabernet Sauvignon. The wines age in 100% new French oak barrels for 18-24 months.2016 was an outstanding vintage and this is a rare and exceptional wine. Wine Enthusiast Magazine awarded this a Cellar Selection and scored a perfect 100 points saying “This is a rich, perfumed wine, with dense tannins and intense layers of black plum and spice.
