Outstanding value Bordeaux, Chateau La Jamade is located on an elevated plateau on the Right Bank. It’s one of several properties owned by a family with a long history in the region. Soils are clay-limestone and clay-silt and the vineyard is 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon. Considered one of the finest properties in the Cotes de Bourg, this wine from the 2019 vintage is a prime example of the quality.Fermentation is in tradition cement tanks with temperature control. Maceration lasts 7-10 days and the wine aged in tank on the lees.Wine Enthusiast saw the potential of this gem and scored it 91 points noting “Tannins and black-currant fruits mingle in this blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The structure and succulent fruits are still young and the wine needs to age.
