Here’s another gem from Clos de Napa.The real beauty of their wines is that they source from some of the best vineyards in Napa Valley and put wine in the bottle at a price that completely belies the origins. This Stags Leap Cab comes from a top vineyard in that exclusive enclave. We can’t mention the name as we’ve said before but suffice it to say wines from there cost 2-3 times as much.Carefully temperature-controlled fermentation over 2 weeks the wine was aged 10 months in 60% new oak barrels. The final blend is 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot and 10% Petit Verdot.Wine Enthusiast Magazine scored this 92 points saying “Bright red cherry notes blend with deeper blackberries and blueberries in this intensely fruity, pure-tasting wine. Moderate tannins and good acidity shape the generous flavors for good balance and an appetizing texture.” Quantities are limited so please don’t miss it! 750 ml
