Domaine Lafage run by Jean-Marc and Eliane, the 7th generation from a family of winegrowers, is located in the heart of the Roussillon. Marked by multiple terroirs, extended in a patchwork from the Mediterranean Sea to the foothills of the Pyrenees, over the generations, the family had amassed scattered vineyards throughout the region, which now totals over 380 acres of vines, most of them in excess of 50 years in age.Benefiting from a warm, dry climate, the estate is farmed organically. Harvesting is manual and lasts over several months due to the variations in conditions in each sub-zone they farm. The winemaking is surprisingly uncomplicated with mostly concrete tanks for the reds with a small number of French oak demi-muids.Winemaker NotesBright ruby color.
