91 Points, Wine EnthusiastThe Greco di Tufo grape is somewhat lesser known, but we love it for its fruit, sturdy body, and gorgeous acidity. The Feudi di San Gregorio Greco di Tufo is no exception. It’s pert and delicious, with lovely acidity and minerality. Translation: crazy food friendly. Work on those first glasses with a platter of your favorite sushi. Fried calamari is another great option. Or, if you’ve got some time on your hands, make it stuffed, deboned chicken wings stuffed with basil, bread crumbs, parmesan and lemon zest. Roasted pork belly with roasted fennel will shine opposite this San Gregorio; the acidity and zing of the wine is perfect for the rich pork belly. A seafood pasta with fresh herbs, a little garlic and a splash of cream works well too. Crisp-roasted chicken with tangerine and lemon slices, garlic and rosemary in the cavity will have them coming back to refill their glasses again and again.
