Riesling covers 95% while Weissburgunder covers the remainder.The quality of this dry Riesling is the link between Gut Hermannsberg’s VDP .Ortsweine and VDP .GrosseGewächse. The base for this vineyard blend derives from the steep slope Grand Cru vineyard “RosselNiederhausen”. The main aromas of this Riesling are Amalfi-lemon and wild herbs, and its elegant structure and complexity are captivating. This “2020 Steinterassen Riesling” is an astonishing elegant dry wine which is just starting to show its full potential.Due to this special microclimate in the “Rossel Niederhausen” you will find an extraordinary quality of grapes. Our “Steinberg Niederhausen” has a barren ground with volcanic origin. The rhyolite soils from the time of the “Rotliegenden” have a high amount of iron giving the “Rotenberg Altenbamberg” its name.
