The soil is mostly loamy and sandy with a very good drainage.Pian Di Nova is their entry-level wine. It is a blend of 25% Sangiovese and 75% Syrah. The grapes are hand harvested de-stemmed and sorted by an optical device. Then they are vinified separately. The grapes macerate over a period of about 30 days befor pressing and racking into tanks for 6 months and then oak barrels for 12 months. The vinification is carefully overseen by famous enologist Nicol D’Afflitto. The bouquet is floral and intensely fruity with scents of black and red fruits and hints of spicy notes. The palate is smooth and full-bodied, with a pleasant freshness and balanced, mellow tannins. The persistence is good, with a spicy and fruity end finish.Stunning Value!! 750 ml
