Tenuta La Massa has 65 acres of vineyards in the “Conca d’Oro”, “The Golden Basin”, of Panzano, Chianti at altitudes between 1000 and 1300 feet. Acquiring this ancient, hilly property in 1991, with its vineyards that have been farmed since the 15th century, Giampaolo Motta gained a reputation with the release of his first vintage of Giorgio Primo, one year later.Grapes for this Super Tuscan are picked and sorted by hand the loaded by gravity into fermentation vats. the belnd is 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot.
