Tasting Notes: Proving that big can be beautiful, this highly ripened, well-stuffed bottling is long on juicy apple and sweet oak character from the first whiff to its outgoing, admittedly slightly hot finish. Its fruit keeps it from going over the top, but there will be some who will not agree and find “too much” here. That said, it will garner plenty of takers among those who like the style, and we would count ourselves in that lot when looking for a wine that is able to accompany highly-flavored chicken or seafood dishes. It is not a wine in want of long aging but can take a few years of patient cellaring and still hold its own nicely. 92 Points, James Suckling 91 Points, Connoisseurs’ Guide to California Wine Final Blend: 100% Chardonnay Case Production: Only 120 cases produced Pair With: Highly-flavored chicken or seafood dishes Hold Time: Enjoy now or hold up to 3 years Alcohol by Volume: 14.7% Cheers to another unique connoisseur wine club find!
