Critical AcclaimQuinta do Noval is an historic name with iconic status in the world of wine. But it is above all a vineyard. In the heart of the Douro Valley, great wines have been made in this place since the early 18th century. A new bottling line and warehouse was completed in 1997 in Alijo, near Pinhão. This project made Quinta do Noval the first of the traditional Port shippers to centralize all its activities in the Douro Valley. In the 90’s, around 240 acres of the domaine were replanted, adapting pruning methods to suit each parcel. Today, high quality grapes are grown which assure the excellence of Quinta do Noval Ports. Wine Spectator selected this as #45 on their Top 100 of 2021. They scored it 97 points saying “Juicy and muscular, with a ball of plum paste, warmed fig compote and black currant reduction flavors that need time to unwind.
