Description
Winery: “To spotlight the rich diversity of our property, we occasionally craft small-production Cabernets from our finest blocks and barrels. These wines represent the pinnacle of our portfolio and are only produced in the best vintages. Block Eleven North is a gravelly loam benchland site at the northern end of our vineyard. It is planted to clone 337, which delivers a pure, fruit-driven expression of Cabernet Sauvignon. The glass-staining opaque purple color of this wine is an early indicator of how big and concentrated it is. The nose offers classic Cabernet aromas of black cherry, cassis and licorice, along with hints of anise, and salty driftwood. While the texture is rich and velvety there is also good acidity, which adds precision and freshness to the bright fruit flavors.” Bottle:750ml Varietal:97.5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2.5% Petit VerdotAging:100% free run wine aged in 65% new French oakAlcohol:14.1%Region:Alexander Valley, CaliforniaProduction (dozen bottles)Limited to 100 dozen
