Description
This is the wine that previously wore a gold label. It is Marchesi Antinori’s newest Villa Antinori wine, launched with the 2010 vintage. The all-new, modern Antinori Chianti Classico Cellars in Bargino, is the place where this wine ferments and ages. This 2019 is a blend of 90% Sangiovese and 10% Merlot. The juice was gently pressed into small French and Hungarian oak barrels for 12 months of aging. It has an intense ruby red in color with fruit and spice aromas. Light touches from the oak aging underscore the cherry and red berry notes that are typical of the Sangiovese grape.James Suckling scored this 93 points saying “This is very refined, with lots of sangiovese character, showing sour cherries, peaches, and bark, as well as pine needles. Medium-bodied and deliciously attractive. Fine tannins at the end.”On Sale! 750 ml
